Note: Upgrading Virtual Center Server 2.0.x to v Center Server 4.0 or later is not supported on operating systems running the Japanese locale.
VMware recommends installing v Center Server on a 64-bit Windows operating system.
If you have Virtual Center 2.x installed, see the v Sphere Upgrade Guide for instructions on installing v Center Server on a 64-bit operating system and preserving your Virtual Center database.
You can upgrade from Virtual Center 2.0.2 (including Update 1, Update 2, Update 3, Update 4, and Update 5) and Virtual Center 2.5 (including Update 1, Update 2, Update 3, Update 4, and Update 5) to v Center Server 4.0 Update 1.
