The City of Crystal Lake has set the following resident and non-resident fees for scuba diving in the lake.Fees will be collected at the entrance to the lake and are not included in our course fees or Discover Local Diving activity fee.
It was reclaimed by the city and after many improvements it was opened to the public for fishing, picnicking, sail boating, hiking and swimming.
If you're a diving professional and would like to use 3 Oaks Recreation Area for training please contact the City of Crystal Lake 815-459-2020.
Diving at 3 Oaks Recreation Area will be open to certified divers spring of 2015.
We'll be able to enter and exit the lake from the shore via a new beach and dock just for scuba divers.
We put in 3 training platforms at about 25 feet of depth and about 100 feet apart.
The maximum depth in the lake is about 45 feet so we can do all of our training except the deep dive and a wreck dive. There is no wreck to dive, maybe next year we can put something down there.Sea Level Diving now offers interest-free scuba package financing. When you pick out any combination of regulator, alternate air source, buoyancy control device, and computerized gauges, we can offer you interest-free financing on that package.Stop by Sea Level Diving today for a no obligation, free quote and details about our interest-free financing on the scuba equipment package of your dreams. The scuba area will be on the north east shore in a buoyed off area exclusively for scuba.
