He also inspected site where escalators to be installed outside platform no.1.
The inspection was a part of routine improvement and quality check.
He emphasized on cleanliness at platforms and directed officials to maintain.
“Some drainage lines were affected due to ongoing general improvement works, and I have directed officials to solve the issues before beginning of rainy season,” he said, while speaking to media after inspection.
Ratlam: Divisional railway manager (DRM) of Ratlam division of western railways on Saturday said that they are awaiting instructions from zonal headquarters for inauguration of newly constructed Indore-Mhow broad gauge rail-line.
“The project has been completed and now we are waiting for permission from zonal headquarters,” said DRM Manoj Sharma during his visit to Indore railway station.
He said that apart from completion of the project, they have also sent proposal for trains to be run on this line.
As soon as they get the permission from the ministry they will start operation.
He added that similar instructions have been issued for other railway stations to clear the drainage lines before monsoon.
The Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS) will carry out inspection of 22 km long Indore-Mhow section, which is converted into broad gauge. Sources said that most possibly the CRS may visit the city railway station next week and undertake inspection of this section just to check the status of work on which he has doubts.
